Mediaset Premium chose Accenture to broadcast the football matches of the Champions League over the Internet to more than one million viewers. Since the launch of the service on the cloud, monthly unique visitors have doubled.

Accenture has worked with Mediaset for the transmission of football matches of the Champions League by using a streaming video service. It is called Mediaset Premium Play, and it is a service available in Italy on more than 300 types of devices (smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, connected TVs and game consoles). It has already attracted more than 600,000 unique users per month to this multi device Mediaset Premium service, doubling the number of visitors since the service was made available, in July last year.

The statement that accompanies the launch of this new sports channel in 4K on digital terrestrial multiplex Mediaset DTT 1 (channel 391) designs May 28th as launch. The opportunity is offered by the final of the UEFA Champions League in Milan between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Premium, as the host broadcaster, also is airing the final UEFA Champions League in HD and free-to-air on Channel 5 HD.

TG5 is the news bulletin of Canale 5, the leading network of Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset, the most important private owned tv group in Italy. It is aired since January 13th 1992.

TG5 Mediaset produced in Rome was recently upgraded to full digital production using a brand new Dalet Galaxy system, already used for some months by SportMediaset. It allows to take full advantage of the potential of the features offered by a full digital system.
