"Città Italia" used to be an Italian niche tv channel on Sky (channel 820) and TivùSat (channel 57). Now it has become "Città Italia Sport", an all sports channel and among the few all sports dedicated in the TivùSat bouquet. "The main dream now is to make sure that the channel is increasingly being seen". So sauys Carmine Calabrese, head manager, who is convinced that this transformation represents, under any profile an important step. Città Italia was a thematic channel for many. Città Italia Sport is a thematic channel for everyone.
It was launched in the exploration of a new environment, touristic mainly, stimulating and popular. The dream of every TV station is to increase the number of listeners and, from this point of view, sports have always been one of the sectors capable of offering the best guarantees. Especially if you have the ability to put on screen a broad of diverse programming that get to treat even the so-called minor sports.
The main idea is then to feed passions invested in more sports . Not only live football but many sports and not just Formula 1. And in addition to the most celebrated professionals, there are many stories of the minor leagues players who deserve to finally find their narrator, careful and constant.
On this basis, Città Italia Sport it born with its range of programs as well as on football and engines, also on wrestling, water sports, outdoors, in the snow. The offer is now open to worlds far more than almost forgotten by the spotlights that illuminate the national stage and made possible by collaboration with associations, sports federations and format supplier companies for all audiences.
At the same time, there are home made programs, designed and implemented by manager Carmine Calabrese with his team. A working group, to quote his expression, "always careful to spin the ball", constantly engaged, as evidenced by the good results achieved in 2015, in achieving new goals.
Calabrese says: "At the end of July 2015 we decided to offer a much wider and varied schedule, transforming us from niche thematic channel dedicated to Made in Italy to sports and become a popular channel. In a short time, we've gone from five to twenty-five programs, offering viewers on a much richer offer. We can already say, in the light of further evidence that we are seeing the choice was happy from all points of view."
Città Italia Sport is following events of national dimension but also dealing with local appointments with a value beyond regional boundaries. Among the many, the sports followed are: soccer, tennis, volleyball, cycling, engines but also water sports, triathlon, outdoor sports, wrestling, go-kart and so on. These are considered minor sports that rarely receive the attention they deserve. We have decided to take responsibility to fill this gap.
They can follow so many sports thanks to an agreement with ACI, Automobile Club Italy, to show the highlights on the Italian motorsport championships. They also have an ongoing partnership with G.T.O. 2000 Floriano Omoboni, and provide format such as 'Super Sea', dedicated to water sports, 'Hard Trek' on outdoor sports, 'Blue Sport' for water sports and 'Ski Magazine' for snow sports.
Other important agreements are with Este News, which provides with programs such as 'Zona Milan', 'Zone Inter' and 'Juve Zone' and sports information newspaper 'Sports News'. And then 'Bikeshow', 'Italian Motors', 'Car News' and 'Triathlon on TV'.
Go Tv Production provides 'Go-cartv' and 'Race on TV'. So Città Italia Sport pass exclusively the best of Italian wrestling through an agreement with Emilio Bernocchi, president of the Federation Italian Championship Wrestling. And 'Bari Forever' the Naples, 'Napoli News' on the well known football team.
Calabrese sums up: " we are urged to propose continuously new and interesting content. Fortunately, technology allows us to expand our possibilities with the same organizational structure and to face a path of innovation without having to burden automatically with higher costs."
