In a recent visit to the Italian Post facility in Milan, "BAND", we tried to catch the recent developments on color correction, compositing and finishing on DaVinci Resolve, by Blackmagic Group.
Adriano Mestroni tells us: "BAND is associated to UNAPOST, the National Union of Post Production, which brings together some of the leading companies in the industry, for different reasons, including the exchange of individual skills and experience, and to create quality synergies which are advantageous for all, agencies, corporate clients and end-users. Siamo nella struttura di post produzione milanese BAND, per cogliere gli ultimi sviluppi sulla correzione colore, il finishing e compositing su DaVinci Resolve, del gruppo Blackmagic.

Adriano Mestroni e Claudio Beltrami sono colorist con alle spalle un'esperienza professionale maturata soprattutto nel campo della pubblicità e dei music video. Il loro know how è completo anche per i lungometraggi, ma a Milano capita raramente di lavorare per il cinema.

Negli ultimi due anni in Red-Line, azienda di post produzione milanese associata all'Unione Nazionale delle Aziende di Post Produzione, si sono viste parecchie novità.
Stefano Monzio Compagnoni ci spiega: "Le novità coinvolgono sia il know-how, sia il workflow, sia le infrastrutture. Abbiamo aggiornato le macchine con nuovo hardware per poter gestire risoluzioni più elevate, 4K/UHD e conseguentemente il nuovo spazio colore BT-2020. Abbiamo pensato a come poter ristrutturare completamente il workflow e difatti alcuni passaggi sono stati completamente modificati."
