Soluzioni complete per la tv interattiva che comprendono migliorie nel feedback visivo, nella navigazione e diverse utili opzioni di visualizzazione
HASSELT, Belgium — Aug. 31, 2010 — Zappware, the leading developer of off-the-shelf and custom-designed interactive digital television (iDTV) solutions for operators and broadcasters, will demonstrate the latest enhancements to its Flux™ end-to-end, iDTV solution at IBC2010. The Flux platform, powered by Zappware's iView™ engine, is a modular suite of interactive services, including electronic program guides, video on demand, and personal video recorder applications that offer the operator full customization and configurability, enabling enhanced marketing opportunities and increased subscriber satisfaction.
Flux is designed to deploy easily into nearly any environment and is easily managed by the operator using the iView management system. Whether an off-the-shelf Flux system or a customized version is installed, the operator maintains full control over branding elements, UI features, and marketing applications to subscribers targeted regionally, locally, or even on a one-on-one basis.
"We're continuously looking to update our platforms to make them as user-friendly and functional as possible," said Patrick Vos, Zappware's CEO. "The latest updates to Flux enable our customers to provide state-of-the-art convenience and functionality to their subscribers, while generating the highest level of customer intimacy and targeted marketing opportunities."
Flux 2.5 features a new design for the ZapBanner, an on-screen visual feedback device that provides key information about the currently displayed program or media item during channel changes, recordings, video playback, and other Flux actions. The new design adds convenience by providing a shorter click-path to additional program information and easier access to purchase opportunities.
Additional enhancements include powerful new option menus that provide more direct navigation routes to specific functions based on context. For example, shortcuts are available for recordings and channels are easily added to and deleted from favorite lists.
"Our customers tell us that the functionality of our systems is great, but an equally great visual experience, that's easy to use, is also a high priority," continued Vos. "Our design experts help us provide a technology and design balance that is the best in the industry."
A new media player function that enables viewers to watch content stored on USB Flash drives and/or home media servers is also included with the latest release.
