The Italian TV channel covering international audience has recently upgraded their entire system of tv and web production with system integrator Video Progetti and concluded an agreement with SES Astra for the use of bandwidth capacity on ASTRA satellite services for distribution and contribution from the orbital positions at 23.5 ° and 19.2 ° E.
This capacity from orbital positions mentioned will be used for the international spread. It will also provide services for live events contribution made in Ka-band.
The agreement also allows Teleippica to have a back up, 24 hours 7 days a week, of all transmissions concerning horse races.

Carlo Struzzi owner of Video Progetti system integrator, with dual headquarters in Milan and Rome, declared: "This year we designed and installed a system for the publisher who produces Teleippica TV channels and related web issues.
After collecting the needs of the client Video Progetti configured a 24/7 production system of thematic contents dealt in huge amount.
The system receives 80 feeds from all the racetracks and daily from 30 racecourses in which the publisher is constantly connected to both live programs and for many races which frequently are important events that overlap.
Clearly, the goal was to try to retransmit immediately all the important events, and record and transmit other less important events to be sequentially broadcast.
All content is stored on the Omneon video servers, tagged and trimmed for onward transmission or other distributions on the various delivery channels, these contents are available in truly amazing quantities.
The typical control room, relies on a video mixer by Snell who is able to handle all the feeds in all formats, HD, SD, 3D, 4K; it converts them to the format of the production required and exits them for broadcast and recording.
All the taggin happens thanks to a device called Avita that eliminates the content which can not be used immediately; the same are then transmitted following the important event.
The contents themselves are intercepted by the workflow manager Mantrix within the Omneon video servers, converted to a format available for the Web, and distributed on the scheduled Internet channels.
In the recording section, a matrix by Snell directs the signals to the Omneon video servers where all events are categorized, tagged, trimmed and subsequently aired.
Again within this video server the MAM intercepts the contents, places them in an archival system as the master copy and produces a variety of other formats that are used for distribution on different platforms.
The distributed files are enriched with metadata that become very useful after the publication, as statistics, the results of the bets, in practice, all info that may be of interest to enrich the content.
The well-known Harmonic Omneon video server has virtually changed the method of construction of the play-out, in fact the master control is now embedded, so the server has a dual function and simultaneously produces content in HD and SD, everything is branded specifically for both the HD and for SD airing, translating both the graphics and the subtitles output on the same port."
