Panasonic AG-AF101A
The recently introduced Panasonic AG-AF101A camcorder with HD recording function is capable of almost the same quality as that of 35mm cinema film, so particularly interesting for top quality sports events. As for models AG-AF101, the AG-AF101A can mount a wide range of professional lenses which comprises the optical compatible Micro 4:3 DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) and the broadcast type lenses with adapter. It is also equipped with two audio inputs with XLR connectors and other functions to meet the needs of professionals.
In addition to professional mode PH high quality (approximate average 21Mbps, up to a maximum of 24Mbps), the model AG-AF101A conforms to the AVCHD standard 2.0 (AVCHD Progressive) in its new PS mode (approximate average 25Mbps, up to a maximum to 28Mbps) for recording and production (via HDMI only) for progressive image Full-HD (1080/59.94p, 1080/50p).
The mode PS / PH support LPCM audio recordings two-channel uncompressed 16-bit.
The AG-AF101A produces signals with HD quality 4:2:2 bit and through the camera output function can record on external devices, such as a P2 Recorder and is compatible with high-quality 10-bit through the SDI. The AG-AF101A is equipped with a focus assist function, which allows you to enlarge the center of the screen image, and an indication of the safety zone 2.39:1.
Cartoni JIBO
Italian manufacturer Cartoni presents “JIBO”, a lightweight and compact three-part jib that will support cameras up to about 33 Lbs.
The JIBO arm is composed of three sections with rectangular profile with a total weight of about 15 kg, excluding counterweights: once dismantled, it houses in a convenient carrying case with wheels. A locking mechanism facilitates horizontal mounting and balancing that can be completed in minutes by a single person. The counterweights are classic gym and a typical configuration weighs a total of approximately 20 kg. The support for the fluid head with 100 mm round base can also be mounted downside or rotated with respect to the arm, ensuring a considerable versatility of use.
The total length of JIBO is 1.8 meters, thus allowing a vertical excursion that can be reached from ground level to a height of over two meters.
Last interesting particular is price, set at approximately € 2,000.
Cartoni Magnum
Magnum is the name chosen by Cartoni for the new flagship, a fluid head that can support loads up to 90 kg, therefore ideal for use with sports cameras with optical box long focal length.
The fluid system and the continuous counterbalancing mechanism of the load is derived from those of already appreciated professional camera support “Maxima” that can be tilted 90 degrees up or down.
App TVUAnywhere
The App TVUAnywhere allows you to use an iPhone / iPad or Windows PC (soon available for the Android platform) to send to the receiving terminal of TVU Networks the video shooting that can be then broadcast live. TVU Networks was one of the first companies to develop solutions, like TVUPack, which allow us to take advantage of the telephone networks 3G/4G or Wi-Fi to send video signals, even in HD, pushing the limits of their instability and bandwidth of these transmission channels. Using its proprietary Inverse Statmux, the video signal is segmented and sent on multiple channels to the receiver which shall reassemble it, resulting in a higher quality than would be possible with a single channel 3G/4G or Wi-Fi.
The transmission technology behind the functioning of the app TVUAnywhere is the same as backpacks TVUPack, however, limited by the hardware features of Apple devices: in addition to Wi-Fi connection, you only have one channel 3G/4G against at least three usable with TVUPack Mini (version hooked directly to the camera) or eight channels of backpacks TVUPack.
The App allows you to choose between three different values of image resolution (480x360, 640x480 and 1.280x 720 pixels) at a frame rate of 15 or 25 fps while the bit rate can be controlled in real time with the TVUPack receiver, which is essential for the reception signals.
