14-Oct-2013 The Italian company called Livesat is managed by the same and sole owner Dario Colombini, founded about seven years ago.
Within a few years of history, the evolution of the market has imposed radical changes of direction , especially in equipment needs.
Dario Colombini, explains: "In fact, early productions involved standard definition equipments but now all the clients want the work to be done in HD and this has led to continued investment."
Today, three customers are in the top of the list, i.e. RAI, Sky, Mediaset, in fact Livesat is very well regarded in the certainly not large range of suppliers and makers of tv services in Italy and abroad, especially in sports and news.
Typical applications range from the satellite transmission services for sports and news that involve a single camera, to climb up to four cameras, often combined with radio-camera link systems.
These are often used in sports and the socio-political events where the cameras are to move within a large amount of public.
In the large technical park of Livesat are four medium size OB- vans, central to the realization of the typical Livesat tv programs for broadcasters.
The smaller vehicle is a One-camera setup on a Mercedes Vito which is often used in the historical centers of large cities where space is always very limited; here news and sports stories have to settle for very minimal areas for parking and operate.
Some vans a bit bigger, are the two cameras, built on the Mercedes Sprinter, and going up on a bit larger vehicles of 6.50 m.
The mobile vehicles Sprinter 7.50 meters are the three cameras, and that traveling on location by 9.40 m is a 4 cameras.
All vehicles are fully equipped with everything you need for filming, audio and video mixer, recording by EVS and BLT, including slow-motion.
These mobile units are often used to make external shootings based on 2-3 cameras and often on board is a journalist, sent directly by SKY, RAI or Mediaset, in charge of the event and the link.
For the various mobile vehicles several cameras of different brands are used, namely by Sony, Panasonic, Grass Valley, as said, all in HD.
Devoted almost entirely to sports broadcasts and journalistic stories, often several of these vehicles move together to different locations, as it happened - for example - even not too recently on the same day in which a vehicle was involved in the study of Santanchè (LA7 TV channel), another one engaged in a link with the coach Bianchi (trainer and opinion leader), and a third one on field with three cameras involved in customizing the complete soccer match of Turin vs Milan for SKY.
Very often on Saturdays and Sundays these mobile control rooms are shooting football matches of Serie A and B and during the week the commitment continues and covers the games of the UEFA League or Champions League on international fields.
These are all examples of tv programs customizations that are carried out by Livesat.
All mobile vehicles by Livesat are registered for the 35 q and this allows absolute mobility on Sundays where the 45q vehicles are blocked by traffic rules and can not move. This allows to move unrestrictedly abroad too.
Contrary to what happens for most of the companies involved in tv filming where the mobile media are manufactured by specialized companies, in this case of Livesat all vehicles have been manufactured internally, including construction and engineering. This is possible after a close connection with two other sister companies of the same owner capable of official certification under 4690 and 3712 law, including the ability to install antennas, tv equipments, electrical panels, and seen more general capabilities of high-level integration, highly recognized by the market.
Dario Colombini concludes by saying: "Customers tell us that in any situation we manage to try and we are committed and so we can always manage to solve the problem. Not by chance that we have behind nearly two decades of technical expertise as a professional television equipment repairs and applied plants."
