Great room and comfort for the last OB-Van by Global Production, Turin, a company born in 2005.
Three members, Stefano Bianco, Davide Furlan and Gilberto Steccazzini, having created several television production vehicles, and after selling to Infront, are operating with four OB-Vans of which this, the largest, is called "Infinity". Also the other mobile vehicles are large in size, especially one, capable to handle up to 24 cameras (OB5).

In detail, the other two vehicles respectively run 18 HD cameras (OB3), and the smallest using 8 3G HD cameras.
Operating mainly in the shooting of sports (85%), such as football, skiing, car racing, Global was very committed in the realization of the last born, Infinity, which is the arrival point of the whole business expertise and is a real suite of production out of the ordinary.

The vehicle provides four expansions, three on one side and one on rear and a floor with six robotised "book style" hatches.
Infinity is the result of a collaboration between Global Production and several other companies who have also taken part in the production of the previous mobile vehicles.
A self-leveling structure based on a gyroscopic system ensures an optimal automatic trim. Aluminium and Alcantara covered polypan panels complete the aesthetics.
Video mixer is by Grass Valley Kayak HD300 as well as LDK 6000 and LDK8000 cameras with integration of new LDX 80 series.
The wiring involved over 100 km of Belden cables.
The matrix, distribution, synchronization and digital processors are all by Harris, while the audio mixer is the DiGiCo SD7.
Two machines each with 60,000 BTU automatic changeover run the air conditioning and heating for the various areas independently so as to make the operation very comfortable and keep the equipments perfectly cooled.
The body is by Tomassini Style, some additional techniques required for the programming of the matrix are by Robit; CRV was responsible for the cabling.
This huge mobile vehicle is able to manage up to 30 cameras with 3G technologies, it is 19.50 m long at maximum with a shell of 14,60m by 5,90m when all the expansions are open.
Of course, the transition to 4K can be painless because the heart is ready, and the changes to be made will be minimal.
The engine room is located at the front of the vehicle, most protected while the vehicle is moving and to balance the weights; measuring 310 × 252 cm has six racks on one side and five on the other, in addition to the electrical panel. The main section includes video mixer and cameras controls; just in front is the control section for Replay & slow motion, for a total of 10 stations. The production control area is by 6x6 m., while the sound area is 2.30 × 2.60m with Genelec monitoring.
All video monitor are LG LM series, six 55 "(production), four from 47" (sub director), 16 32 "(RVM), one for the audio, one for the management of the multi-view.
The matrix is Harris Platinum 3G IP3 prepared for the 4K, format converter with 351x240 HD SDI, as well as embedder, de-embedder, frame synchronizer, sync generator, and full integration into Selenium systems.
The Intercom section provides Riedel Artist 128 system, double Dolby E equipments, 10 EVS slow motion systems, HDCAM and XDCAM recording, plus two HyperDeck 4K.
