GLOUCESTERSHIRE, U.K. — July 7, 2011 — The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) today announced that 13 new broadcast and media technology suppliers have joined the association since the beginning of 2011. New IABM members include Ardis Technoloiges, artec technologies, Ateme, Calibre U.K., Effectivus, EMEA Gateway, LSI Projects, Mesclado, Monarch, Nikon Europe, Sencore, ViewCast, and VSN (Video Stream Networks), a diverse group of developers, manufacturers, integrators, and consultants spanning Europe and the United States.
"The IABM is truly a global organization, supporting broadcast and media technology companies in both established and emerging markets worldwide," said Peter White, director general at the IABM. "We're very pleased to be welcoming 13 more highly respected companies as IABM members, as this continuing growth in our membership demonstrates the value our services, representation, and expertise bring to the industry."
Members of the IABM gain access to market intelligence including financial data; forecasts from senior industry executives; reports from organizations including SMPTE, ABU, and EBU; and surveys and studies on current issues, challenges, and trends across the industry. In addition to representing members at key industry events such as BIRTV, BCA, Broadcast India, BVE, CABSAT, CCBN, CSTB, IBC, Inter BEE, and NATEXPO, for which the association offers discounted stand space, the IABM hosts its own conference and a variety of social and regional networking events. The technology services available through the IABM include webinars, in-house training from specialists, advisory services, and regular updates on legislation affecting the industry.
"So far, 2011 has been a significant and successful year for the IABM," said White. "A record 180 members were in attendance at the 2011 NAB Show, where we hosted the first IABM Manufacturers' Forum and presented our first NAB conference session. These were important opportunities for demonstrating how our organization assists manufacturers and users in exchanging perspectives and finding mutually beneficial solutions for meeting today's industry challenges. As our membership continues to grow, we're confident that the IABM will emerge as an even more valuable resource in addressing current and future industry challenges."
