One of the latest in the international broadcast landscape is a recent successful installation of the fully digital newsroom for the Euronews Romania channel.
Italian workflow integrator MediaPower, as a partner that allows each company to align with changes in the media industry, including the growth of streaming services, optimization of media processing with edge applications and increased monetization with custom content, won the tender and signed the supply contract in August 2021.
In just six months from the first arrivals of materials the channel went on air and all the countless difficulties due to the pandemic and the scarcity of electronic components have been overcome.
The project was led by MediaPower and realized by the consortium formed with partner and distributor Blitz Technology and sister company AudioVideoPro that won the tender and made the supply operational of the newsroom dedicated to the news channel.
Thirty years of experience and expertise in the design, distribution and implementation of AV services and IT workflow, enable MediaPower to address the new requirements of digital transformation and meet broadcast industry demand with high-performance cloud and software solutions.
Euro News Romania is broadcast and managed by UPB, derived from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, which wanted to replicate the business model of the parent channel of Lyon, Euronews, maintaining its "look & feel" and implementing a kind of franchise.
Thanks to a detailed mapping of the processes, needs and workflow management desired by the customer, MediaPower was able to implement a suitable and tailored technological strategy, based on Dalet technology systems for the newsroom, Netapp for storage, HP servers, Aruba for networking, Ross for graphics and Playout.

This is also in the light of our many years of experience in managing newsrooms and having brought Dalet to Italy in 2010.
We have, therefore, proposed an integrated technological solution that at the heart of the infrastructure includes a complete newsroom, engineered together with the Italian branch of Dalet".
The channel, live on air from the end of May 2022 broadcasts in multi platform, on digital terrestrial and streaming on social networks, including Facebook and Twitter; the next integration is planned with YouTube, soon.
The entirely Dalet workflow, precisely because it is considered a reference in this field, deals with everything from content ingest to asset creation, MAM and playout.
MediaPower was responsible for engineering, implementation, consolidation, that is, "turnkey": from the initial concept to the complete delivery of the technology newsroom solution and all training to operators and trainers.
The partner AudioVideoPro, took care of all the realization of the studies, the supply and implementation of broadcast equipment, cameras, editing, and the workstations of sixty journalists.
The system also allows the creation of journalistic services from the outside world thanks to Dalet Webspace and Dalet On-the-Go, storytelling achievable on mobile devices, smartphones or tablets.
