Two Channels by Gruppo Editoriale Espresso: graphics with ClassX


"Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso" is one of the most important Italian publishing groups.

It operates in all areas of communication and is present almost everywhere in the mass communication media, daily and periodical press, radio, internet, television and advertising.
Deejay TV and Repubblica TV, are two channels respectively well known in the national scene in entertainment and information.
Both of these well known channels make use of ClassX solutions for the creation and airing of graphics contributions in 2D and 3D.


Deejay TV is the channel with a national musical entertainment project among the most innovative in the international arena and can be seen on channel 9 of the Digital Terrestrial Television (on Satellite within SKY bouquet). This is the video counterpart of the successful brand "Radio Deejay", and have been faithful to the ClassX solutions for two years; in fact they consistently employ two advanced graphics workstations to enrich the most important music programs such as "Deejay chiama Italia" and "OCCUPYDeejay".
The prestigious channel "Repubblica TV" (R.it) produces a feed of high standard information, with quality contents and very advanced graphics, always based on software solutions by ClassX.
With programming dedicated entirely to information, it can be seen on channel 50 of the digital terrestrial television, but also on the web from http://video.repubblica.it/home (but also with the IOS and Android apps) and produces a continuous cycle news in all fields, politics, business, sports, international, science, technology, internet and more.
Tony Paone, Technical Manager of the entire tv infrastructure, audio and video of Repubblica TV, says: "At present the broadcaster Repubblica TV uses four ClassX workstations for the airing of the channel structure, offering informative content audio/video in continuous rotation; these graphics workstations are used also to enrich interventions with live studio guests or live events."
This is a TV channel and a website that operate in symbiosis, in fact most of the video contents are also published on the web and are very rich in graphics in continuous progress, as the live streaming is considered an essential component.
ClassX softwares are used in creating journalistic contributions live in the two daily editions produced in collaboration with the "Channel F" by Feltrinelli at 13,50 and 19,50 often in live broadcasts of 8/10 minutes, repeated also in schedule of "F" and R.Tv.
Graphics contents allow you to enrich the video with the names of journalists, the respondents, incorporate photos in a dynamic way, show news crawl with pictures/videos and messages directly from Facebook and Twitter.
The complete software package of ClassX is used for the production of advanced graphics, including creation and final broadcast via server. Airing is based on some purpose made scripts that connect directly to the web site to load the journalistic content already created in video.
Video contents are stored on a server and everything is "packed" to create a unique product, useful for airing on the channel on the TV and the web, thanks to the ClassX engine.
The structure of television production is new and dynamic, based on a control room and a theatre complete with a virtual studio. Several productions are created here internally, recorded, both in direct.
The headquarters are in Rome, via C. Colombo 90, and the production-as we said-is twofold, aimed both at the tv channel to both the web and live. Some programs in the contributions employ satellite links in the IP domain which are then redistributed on the web.
